I followed the weather radars as I approached the fast-moving rainforest front towards Helsinki. I was at work, and I managed to slip in for a short time to peek out the windows of the meeting room in the corner of the house. At about 2:10 p.m., a fine avalanche began to separate over the downtown houses. The cloud moved quickly across the sky. The rainy area behind the avalanche stood out strikingly green. As the cloud swept over, I returned to work and watched the rain and lightning from the window. Apparently there were severe gusts of wind, but they are more difficult to detect in the city from the interior.
