Active aurora band - 20.2.2021 at 00.10 - 20.2.2021 at 00.45 Savukoski Observation number 96227

Visibility III / V

After a quiet and cloudy season, the night before Saturday loaded the sky from full screen. I was already under cover when I checked the alarms. A quick peek out of the sauna window and an immediate roll of clothes began.

The calm Arc of the Northern Lights in the south gave hints that there could be stunning displays in the permits. The last similar thing happened in March 2015, when kp values tapped 9.

Nothing but a light march towards the shore and a gaze towards the southern horizon. The northern lights also marked the north, but I kept my gaze and camera facing the peaceful arc of the south. And that's where the joy burst. Went at speed from side to side, sometimes with pink and sometimes without. Conditions were icy when the frost meter showed -34 ° and along the riverbank the northern tip swept. Even the wire trigger was as flexible as an iron wire.

Voi luoja, että käy kateeksi täällä Merenkurkun lumisateiden alla! Lankalaukausimiin toivoisin minäkin johtojen kumipäällysteet.

Viimeinen kuva jotenkin maaginen.

Hyvin nätit kuvat ja suuren mittakaavan sähkövirrat ovat luoneet kivan spiraalin.
