I rented a long time of shooting time from SkyGems ’Namibian remote telescope to photograph one of the pearls of the southern sky.
NGC 5128 is also known as Centaurus A and is the closest active galaxy to us. The distance is 15 million light-years.
When 16 million pixels were used, the second image was a muted version.
Edit: I even got to dig a relativistic shower that has been brought out with big tubes (or enthusiasts with long exposures) .

Vau!
Todella mahtavaa jälkeä. Tämä on samannäköinen, kuin pohjoisen
taivaan NGC 3718.
Kiitos.
Tuossa keskiosan pölyvyössä on jotain samaa rakennetta, mutta ilmeisesti on vähän epäselvyyttä galaksityypistä - onko elliptinen vai linssigalaksi. Ilmeisesti kuitenkin tulos kahden galaksin yhdistymisestä.
Hienot kuvat ja mukavasti yksityiskohtia!
