Visibility I / V
This object was originally named Abell 85 because it was thought to be a planetary nebula but was later found to be a supernova remnant and was named CTB1.
The distance to the site is estimated at 10,000 light-years and its diameter at about 100 light-years. The site is estimated to be about 10,000 years old.
The subject is about the size of a full moon and is extremely dim.
