Huhhuh, on tämä meteorihommakin edennyt niistä päivistä kun makailin pellolla ja puhuin kasettinauhuriin tietoja. Tuon tietokonekuvan tulkitseminen ei ihan hahmottunut, mutta näyttää vakuuttavalta jokatapauksessa.

Tarkoitat ilmeisesti tuota BT-kuvaa. Selitän hiukan, vaikkei keskustelufoorumi olekaan.

Siinä ohjelma piirtää "backtrace-jälkeä" stereograafiselle projektiolle. Ja se jälki lasketaan ja piirretän asteen pätkissä. Kussakin kohdassa lasketaan mikä olisi nopeus, JOS radiantti olisi juuri siinä, sovittaen korkeudet järkeviksi ko nopeuteen. Korkeuksien (oletukset) lähinnä alun ja muun geometrian mukaan saadaan se nopeusarvio. Ja jäljen väri kertoo sen nopeusarvion kussakin kohdassa, JOS siis radiantti olisi juuri siinä. Harmaat ovat epäkelpoja, joko johtaen liian pieneen nopeuteen (alle 11.2 km/s) tai niin suureen, että aurinkokuntarata olisi hypebolinen. Potentiaaliset parvien radiantit on merkitty ympyröillä, joiden väri vastaa parven nopeutta. Samalla värillä merkitään n 20 % nopeusalueetta ja hajonta harvemmin heittää enempää kuin yhden "väripykälän", yleensä ei sitäkään.
