Visibility IV / V
The angry and smoky sun throws a fireball at the ground. The fireball was so bright, as bright as the sun, that it could not be viewed without sunglasses. The second image (magnification) shows the size of the fireball, it was big, you can see the gondola lift with its poles. A third zoom taken from a fading halo later shows the structure of the halo as sunlight is reflected from the quietly floating ice crystals. It was twenty degrees below zero and was calm. The fourth image shows a beautiful elongated lower sun that extends from the earth about to the sun. The fifth and sixth images show the side suns. The halos appeared for over four hours and I got 62 photos of them.
