A fireball in a twilight sky - 26.10.2015 at 17.40 Turku Observation number 44685

Visibility IV / V

Not visible

I noticed a green fire in the southeast direction when viewed from Turku's Hirvensalo. The fireball came pretty straight from top to bottom on a southeast course.

The fireball was relatively slow and I started to follow it for about a few seconds, after which the ball suddenly went out. The sphere had no visible tail and no associated sound was heard at the time of observation. In brightness it was far brighter than the stars or planets normally seen in the night sky.

The fireball was visually similar to a youtube video called "Green meteor fireball over Japan November 3, 2014".
