Visibility I / V
Kari Laihia, Veikko Mäkelä and Hannu Määttänen filmed a very dim comet on the Tähtikallio Alluna telescope on the first night of the DS meeting. The comet was not yet found at the shooting stage, but the correct location was photographed based on the star map. Samuli Vuorinen's reading of the pictures then revealed that a dim haze was found. In the main image of the observation, the partial exposures are aligned according to the comet, in the second image according to the stars.
Unfortunately, the flat calibration images could not be taken, so there was some unevenness and dust balls left in the images.
Based on the pages of Seiichi Yoshida, the brightness of the comet is currently around 18 magnitude. Is this the dimest comet observed in Finland?

Vau, upea havainto!
Taitaa olla yksi niitä himmeimpiä komeettoja, joita Vahtiin on raportoitu. Kiitokset Samulille käsittelystä.
