Visibility V / V
I learned from a friend that a spectacular avalanche cloud had been observed in the Gulf of Finland before the thunderstorms. I hadn’t waited for a very strange day of thunderstorms in the metropolitan area, but I still went to be alert on the roof of the workplace parking garage. I hadn’t hired my own camera, but I grabbed a job by paperback. In the distance, quite handsome anvil clouds were visible, and at the bottom of the nearest cloud, a clump began to stand out. The cloud approached relatively quickly and the avalanche became more and more handsome. The battery ran out of battery quite quickly and I had to continue shooting with my cell phone camera. At times, lightning flashed behind the avalanche cloud, and with the avalanche on, I headed back inside the parking garage. This summer has not been a very strange thunderstorm for me, but this day has already improved the situation considerably! The avalanche was the most handsome I saw since August 8, 2010.
There is also a video of the avalanche cloud.
