I deviated from the cottage plot to the edge of the nearby field and tried to see if night clouds would be visible when the showers had receded. A few lower clouds just appeared, nothing more. Observations had been made from other parts of southern Finland, in fact there were quite bright night clouds in the pictures.
As a result of completely unnecessary and in many ways harmful summer time, I would have had to monitor for about another hour to be awake at local midnight. It wasn’t enough to endure it this time, but I’ll come back to that later.
