Moon - 1.1.2023 at 19.35 - 1.1.2023 at 19.47 Espoo Observation number 111748

Visibility III / V

Tommi Ropponen, Ursa (Etelä-Suomi)

The new year started with a moonshot here in Espoo. So here's a quick shooting exercise with the current so-called with grab & go equipment. It is a one-time portable shooting set that enables quick shooting when there is no time or opportunity to tune larger sets or a "permanent station". I marked a couple of crater sizes in one picture, just because they can easily see where the resolution of a tube of that size is approximately sufficient, photographed through an IR-bandpass filter in average weather in Finland, photographed through the heat flows of a populated area.

So here is about 74% of the moon photographed with a small maksutov tube from the yard of the apartment buildings. As a last image, you can also find a mosaic of the whole moon and a full size mosaic on AstroBin at this link (about 7200 x 7200 pixels): https://www.astrobin.com/hxokdb/B/?nc=collection&nce=10864
