Arcus cloud - 9.7.2022 at 14.10 - 9.7.2022 at 14.30 Eurajoki, Luvia, Laitakari Observation number 107566

Visibility III / V

Esa Palmi, Ursa (Länsi-Suomi)

The day's storm photography trip went to the west coast, where, according to the models, there were thunderstorms coming up from the sea throughout the day. At first, in Pori, I heard a distant rumble from the sea and I also saw a few distant flashes of lightning. When the rain started to mess up the visibility in Pori, I drove to Luvia, towards which there was a stronger echo of rain and lightning coming from the south. Shortly before the observation site, the cumulus cloud began to separate from its parent cloud and the approaching thunder band weakened.

Vyörypilvi on ukkospilveen liittyvä hyllymäinen tai rullamainen, usein selvärajainen matalalla roikkuva pilvi. Tämän uhkaavan näköiseen pilvimuodostelman ylitykseen liittyy usein puuskainen tuuli.
