Days of the week Sun spotting is behind us now, and it's been really nice to get better acquainted with the photography side as well, when there's more and more activity again. I'm still quite a beginner when it comes to this subject, but it's a very versatile subject - so Takuu won't get caught up in the subject of my enthusiasm! The picture now shows today's mosaic of 4 pictures, so that I could better get the edge areas in the picture with the fluttering. Filmed with a black-and-white camera, colored afterwards - and of course there can be many opinions about that......

Possible aurora borealis (2 pcs) recorded from ~00:32-00:50. The timelapse repeats 4 times in a row so that the phenomenon can perhaps be visualized better.

I photographed the sun for a while with borrowed equipment. It's nice that there's activity after a few years of waiting. There were also visible scum...they can be seen better in the pictures.

The association's group of enthusiasts gathered again on Tuesday as usual at the observatory. The surface of the sun was watched live on the TV screen in the clubhouse, along with other conversations. 1st picture: comma group 3297 2nd picture: comma group 3296 3rd photo: wider view 4th photo: more recent spots were visible on the edge (+scratches)

For the first time, I was able to capture the Sun's flares both against the surface and from the periphery at the same time. Will it really be a success, however, because my solar photography only started a few years ago, and nothing worth mentioning has been visible until now - perhaps better now... However, I was left wondering about the meaning of the name protuberance . Is it perhaps an old-fashioned, late designation? Would the goal be to clearly distinguish the difference, that it would be either a prominence (outer edge discharge) or a filament (discharge seen against the Sun)?? How...

International Space Station A 'must-see' ISS observation from a morning-night flyby. A fine specimen in the sky, whose observation is rather effortless.

Based on the Uppsala sighting, I checked the camera recording...closer to the west than the southwest. Leo constellation distinguishable.

The early evening of May Day offered nice clear and sunny weather and the Moon was comfortably high in the southern sky... At first the seeing was quite bad, but it improved clearly within an hour. I tried to photograph the rillet of the crater Hippalus, and I am quite satisfied with the end result. I put the names of a few bigger craters in the second picture. The letter A is therefore Agatharchides A, diameter 16km, on the right side of which ("riding the rim", if the term is allowed in this context) Rima Hippalus IV can also be seen: in the picture, a vertical darker shore. Inside the circl...

The recording of the northern part of the Sea of Rain was short this time. However, I thought I would try to liven up a single image... The golden handle attracted attention, of course :)

There were quite good conditions for observing the moon's south pole in terms of libration: latitude about -6 degrees. Early in the morning, the Amundsen crater was chosen as the destination, which I imagined a little better that I would also be able to photograph. Well, the data was saved after a bit of effort, and the end result is not the best, but the crater can still be seen in the picture. The picture is upside down (south at the top, north at the bottom)...for some reason, it's easier for me, at least, to visualize and recognize the shapes of the surface.

Here is perhaps one of my finest observations for myself personally. I went to warm up the car for the morning, when the frost was still promised. When I came back, I also saw this fireball flying with my own eyes! After the breakup, I was able to separate at least seven individual burning parts after a larger part. The fireball ignited below Arcturus and traveled from southeast to east at high speed. Sometimes I feel like I'm filled up to my throat with video images and recordings, but this time the video really warmed my heart :D It's so much better to be able to witness these fireba...

Would it be possible to find an identifier for this flashing satellite that has already been seen several nights? May I also enlighten my knowledge as to whether it is a sun-synchronous orbit? I also tried to get some kind of video made of the appearance of the blinking itself, where you can perhaps notice almost identical blinking phases whenever the satellite appears. It's not the best possible location in the video image - the time stamp covers the blink... In the Kassiopeia constellation.

Fireball recordings from here too. The 1st video (southwest camera) shows almost the entire flight, but the very beginning moments are better on the 2nd video (south camera)
