An attempt to draw the Capella valley, but it was too late this time. The evening terminator had time to darken the bed, you can't really choose the timing like this in November! The length of Vallis Capella is stated to be 110 km, but old maps and my stray eye see it as at least double, up to Montes Pyrenaeus. In the morning of Father's Day, exploring the Moon was pleasant, our companion was at an altitude of 56 degrees. Picture 2 is a cell phone snap at 04:11.

An attempt to draw Cape Agarum in the evening light. There were too many cloud rafts sailing in the sky, so it took too long to finish the drawing. The massif stretches from the southeast to the Sea of Danger for 40 km, it is about 80 km wide. Agarum's birth coincides with the Crisium pool event in the nectar season. 23.09.22, 04:04. The autumn equinox, the idea was to photograph the crescent of the Moon with a mobile phone at that very moment. On the side of the neighboring county, in Kokemäki Kuurola, I knew there was a dark open field from where it could be seen. It no longer has its western and northern dominions, even those plowed by the Imbrium throwing 3.85 billion years ago. The infiltration basin is about 1100 km northwest. The southern bottom of the JC is 800 m higher than the north, again due to the Embrian dump. Not really an observation, but an implementation of an idea. T + A 3/2022 p.64 Jeff Graphy presents the projection of the Moon, and the image inspires us to think of the same system with a small tube. I would make the scaffold stand out of paff and grill sticks, and the reflective surface itself is translucent paper, so the image is viewed opposite the eyepiece. Nearly a full moon was photographed admirably despite the stray light, and a brighter telescope with a larger aperture would work better. In star shows and teaching situations, one could use when several can watch the same, live image.

The sun showed up, so the refractor in the yard cooled down. Guys have said that spot activity is on the rise, finally! Wanha Evostar works well with Baader's Herschel wedge, filming on a mobile phone was a problem. The monk's hood trick recommended by Heikkilä Risto works here too. I photographed the spectrum through a DIY gadget (cardboard, razor blade. DVD), the lines in the original image stood out. The green color is created by the wedge filters.

The company draws L98 on Charles Wood’s Lunar 100 list. Embarrassing conditions for observation truncated the results mainly to the visible lava flows between Carlin and McDonald. The thickness of the floor is about 35 m, so the so-called shadow magnification works great for items like this. Stratus and his friends hindered the drawing, although they sometimes made pretty rings around the moon.

Hakala Raimo's observation inspired me to examine my mobile rapids from the Moon in the evening of 11.02. Prom. Heraclides was illuminated with the environment overshadowed. In Jean-Dominique Cassini’s monthly map from 1679, the promontory is clearly depicted as a female figure, and I don’t remember seeing the maiden as tender as that night, the picture really doesn’t do her justice! Cassini had married Genevieve de Laistre in 1673, and some scholars consider it possible that Moon Maiden is an astronomer in recognition of his wife's love.

The night was unconsciously humid, even though the thermometer showed -11 degrees, within an hour the drawing board went all the way to the skipper! Mount Argaeusv is on the eastern edge of the strait between the Serenitatis and Tranquillitatis plains. It is about 65 km long and about 2600 m high at its northwestern end. The company draws Cleomedes in the evening light. The observation weather was really good by November! The bottom of the C is clearly convex, and the Tralles that hit the northwest edge have pushed the masses to the bottom of the big crater. The three-pointed central mountain of C rises to a height of almost a kilometer. Rima Cleomedes did not stand out until it was drawn, instead Rima Burckhardt stood out in the same direction. The latter begins at the southern edge of Geminus. Burckhardt is characterized by its ears, with two older craters centrally below it.

The company draws the Caucasus Mountains in its evening light. Calippus C has lost its western edge, but the eastern edge, especially its southern part, rises to a height of 5 km. Montes Caucasus is said to be an Imbrium throw, but the concentric alignments don't really fit !? A cell phone rap at 3:49 a.m. shows a low ridge heading northeast from Theaetus. This shallow form has a width of about 25 km and a length of about 100 km. The ridge did not appear in the drawing, but the shoreline is also in the shade.

The company draws Fracastorius in late night lighting. It was formed on a 400 km diameter ring of the Nectaris basin, and tilted towards the sea due to the depression of lava. In a better picture and better lighting, an east-west slope stands out in the middle of the crater. On the north side of the channel, the lava is darker, and less cratered than in the south. The Fracastorius, more than 120 km in diameter, is No. 21 on the Lunar100 catalog.

The company draws Rima Hadley. We were right on the limits of my unhappy vision. The river was caused by a lava flowing from an eruption called Bela in a direction northeast, and more than 80 km long. The red dot in the drawing indicates the generous landing site of Apollo 15. Rille makes a tight bend at the Mons Hadley Delta, and I remember in a mooncast in July 1971 that Heimo Tauriainen used the name Elbow Spider.

The last few days have been moonlit quality time, now threatened by a long period of cloud cover. Prior to its first quarter, the Moon has been high as it did in the spring, when the typical poor season of seeing does not hurt. I followed e.g. Ptolemaeus sunrise, the first rays of the crater's convex base to the humps of the dawn to record on a cell phone binocular from the left horn. The overexposure in Figure 2 briskly to verify the phenomenon. Another phenomenon that is also visible in mobile phone flippers: big craters are hexagonal !?

The company draws the Julius Caesar crater. The shape is about 85km in diameter, and has experienced the destructive power of the throws of the Imbrium collision. The southern bottom area is 800m higher than the north, probably precisely because of the slopes of the Imbrium basin, and the north is darker apparently due to lava eruptions. Riccioli named a crater for J. C because of his calendar reform. Sosigenes, who assisted JC, also got its name from the neighborhood. Sosigeneen was assassinated by Octavian in a declaration of war to Egypt in 31 BC.
