It's been a sunny day for a long time, so we had to look at the sky in the hope of possible halos. No halos were visible, but after midday a single oblong and colorful nacreous cloud appeared above the sun. Before disappearing, the cloud was only visible for about twenty minutes, in the final phase a wavy structure, of the same type as in Kelvin-Helmholtz clouds, appeared at its left end. The sky receded into a slightly more solid cloud, but around 3 p.m., pale, almost white mother-of-pearl streaks could be seen in the clearing sky.

Viewed from the ice of Kemijoki, the midday sun does not yet rise very high here in the Arctic Circle region. The pillar was visible in varying degrees, the pictures show the view of the last moment before the clouds disappeared.

Sisko posted a pictorial message about a very nicely visible rainbow (1st picture). In my own yard, it didn't look as handsome, but it was clear nonetheless. Such an interesting observation in the middle of November, at least here in the Arctic Circle.

The cloud cover covering the sky brought a little excitement to watching the partial solar eclipse, but luckily the cloud cover broke a little before the maximum phase, so I was able to take a few pictures. Even one small dot was visible on the left side of the sun.

Intermittent afternoon showers depending on the cloud situation. At first, the twin upper side opening and the pillar are visible, later also both side suns. In the pictures, the sauri on the right, which was quite bright in the area next to the more colorful part. The pictures do not show that brightness.

I took the car in for maintenance in the morning and when I started walking home, I couldn't help but notice a long line of light visible below the surface of the clouds. Other streaks of light were also visible, and when I finally got to a slightly more open landscape, in front of me was perhaps the most beautiful display of reflected cloud rays that happened to me. For a surprisingly long time the rays were visible before they disappeared as the sun rose higher and the cloud cover parted.

A summer kayaking day at Inarijärvi offered, among other good things, also a halo ring visible in the upper clouds from time to time.

The rainy weather kept the paddler in the tent, but the walk after the rain stopped offered a great view, as I was able to follow a slowly advancing mass of cumulus clouds in the southeast sky. In the final phase, dim main and side rainbows also appeared on the left side of the avalanche.

A surprising halo sighting. Fortunately, I happened to glance at the sky, so I was able to record this as well.
