Another month has passed since the previous aurora borealis that I was able to photograph and it looked bad even now, but as if by miracle the weather cleared up against the forecasts and that's good because the aurora borealis appeared almost at the same time as the weather cleared up

It has been a cloudy and gloomy time for many weeks until it cleared up on Sunday, I was wondering if the clear weather would last until the night, luckily it lasted that long. When it got dark, I hurried to the shooting location in Paltaniemi, Kajaani, on the shore of Lake Oulujärvi, and the lights appeared on time.

During the long hours of the evening there were some kind of northern lights, so at the end of October the lights were quite low, so I partly shot with 35 mm 0 optics.

The previous night was completely cloudy, so the northern lights were not photographed:) But there was no need to rush because the weather cleared up completely during the day and expectations were high when the evening got dark, I left well in time for the filming gig, at first it seemed like there wouldn't be another hour, I waited and there was a dim arc in the sky, disappearing almost invisible until ten in the evening after that it started to clear up a lot and the fires really roared and then there were enough of them to film for several hours.

The aurora borealis that appeared very quickly flared up in Kajaani. I was filming on the shore of Lake Nuasjärvi, where I quickly rushed when the sky cleared up, the bright lights flared up and faded away at the same time.

The moon lit up the landscape and small northern lights twinkled in the sky, so there's not much more to tell this time.

I was photographing the northern lights and other nature under the glow of the full moon and I was already about to leave for another destination, but I continued to set the camera with the remote shutter release and then a ball of fire appeared approximately from the south direction, the direction of travel was approximately north. As an addition, the next picture appeared dimly.

An almost full moon illuminated the road when I photographed these northern lights in Kajaani on the shore of Lake Nuasjärvi in such windy weather, but at this point the surface of the lake was completely calm as the wind came from behind the forest.

After all, it was an explosive start to photographing the northern lights because I looked at the radar at around 9:00 p.m. the values were very low, then a quarter of an hour later I looked and the magnetometer had already crossed minus 8 and the other values were already in the red. So the start was really fast. I drove twelve kilometers away to the shooting location on the shore of Lake Oulu. cloud gauze for quite a good hour I was photographing the fires, so the sky was already completely clouded

Some kind of aurora borealis appeared at the beginning of October, when the cloud cover temporarily broke up in Kajaani, I filmed in Paltaniemi on the shore of Lake Oulu, the lake was completely calm, which added a nice spice to the shots.

This time I was waiting for the northern lights in North Karelia in Koli National Park, some kind of lights appeared mostly in the shape of an arc, from time to time it looked like they could soon blaze properly, but then they didn't really get a decent blaze

Northern lights on the hunt again.... I didn't expect much to get pictures of the fire, but it turned out differently, the most beautiful lights of this fall suddenly lit up in their glory, even though the sky was dim for a long time, the brightness and breadth of the lights still surprised me.

The aurora values were high, but too bad the weather was cloudy, a small glimmer of hope was awakened when I watched the cloud animation, so I ran to Paltaniemi in Kajaani to the shore of Lake Oulu through a gap in the clouds, I saw glimpses above my head that the aurora lights were blazing there, but I kept waiting because the horizon seemed to be getting brighter in the direction of the north. squealed and I got the necessary pictures a little ripped, there were clouds in the crowd.

I was waiting for the aurora borealis in a higher rock area than this time in the terrain and the arch gradually became brighter, so I stayed there to film for a while after filming I noticed a small pond in the area between the rocks so I moved to it to shoot a few pictures I asked to take a moment to look elsewhere then I heard plumps to my horror I saw the camera diving with its tripod into the water for days and the filming ended just when the best northern lights were about to light up:) now I've been drying the camera for a few days and at the moment it seems to be working normally.

There was a lightning start. When I woke up with one knee and I looked out the window that the aurora borealis was taking shape just before my clothes were on my neck and I only managed to get to less than five kilometers away, so I had to stay on the side of the field to film.

Some kind of aurora borealis flared at the height of Kajaaninki, although the aurora borealis values were quite low. For a good two hours I followed the movements of the aurora borealis on the shore of Lake Nuasjärvi, I also stopped at the shore of Oulujärvi in Paltaniemi when that enthusiasm seemed to be like this from the beginning of the season.

The opening of the northern lights season in Kajaani was moderate on 12 August 2022. The nights are still too bright here, but from here it will hopefully start at an accelerating speed.
