The first image I took of the approaching deaf cloud from the north came with a bright starburst, as if it had fallen slowly, it took a few seconds.

When we came to our traditional summer resort Viitasaari on Thursday, it was raining but on Friday night there was a starry sky. But the picture of the landscape still comes to mind.

Would there have been some northern lights green here when I waited for them for a while, the camera couldn't do better and they were very dim, even the city lights were quite disturbing.

There they were when there was an opening in the cloud curtain, for a while there, that is, then it was covered in the clouds again and no more was visible, the pictures were poor in a hurry only I had time to take a few from the window.

In the evening the sky became clear, we still had to go to see if the northern lights were visible and it was visible, at first only a dim arc, barely visible, but by half past twelve the show brightened nicely and at a good time as the sky started to cloud again.

It was as if greenery was seen in the low northeastern sky, as well as more dim rays to the north, but for a short time even before midnight when August changed to September.

Northern lights were also visible in Turku, despite the lights and clouds of the city, a lively arc of northern lights was visible for a few minutes, which was also visible to the naked eye.

After 10 pm a dim but visible arc of northern lights appeared in the sky. Later in the night the clouds disturbed the visibility and the sky was very hazy, but after two it was still distinguishable from the greenery. At 11:21 p.m., a piece of bright starburst was left in the picture.

Between ten and eleven there was then a chance to see if the northern lights were visible, for almost all that time a dim arc was barely visible but for a few minutes a vivid arc was visible.

When the sky was cloudless, I watched in the evening whether there would be northern lights and were quite nicely visible in the city lights, the first batch at about 8 pm and the second at 10.20 pm, pictures of the latter.

For a few minutes after 11 pm, a belt of northern lights moved very fast above the city lights, with in some places even the green that appeared bright here.

Northern lights appeared in the sky soon after dark, the small challenge was that the tall trees blocked the view from the cottage beach to the northern sky, so I had to take a boat, so the pictures were more or less swaying. A great evening happened for the birthday.
