The halo phenomenon that has been visible in Jyväskylä since this morning at about 12:30 - 12:40 and 15:00 - 15:10. In the afternoon photographed among the clouds. I’m a full-fledged amateur, but there would seem to be typical halos in these pictures today. In the afternoon clouds, the thin, not much curved line to the right of the side sun of the horizon arc is a wonder. Is it part of a halo or left by an airplane? Pictures taken with a cell phone camera and an old digital paperback.

The light pillars created by the lights of the Jyväskylä Rautpohja Moventas factory have attracted my attention in the past when I walk home from work. Today, only the most powerful appeared as pillars of light. Also behind the forest were the pillars from the lights of Metso's Rautpohja mills. The only picture I can take before the camera battery runs out. Reds and greens appeared on the screen when I took the picture, but I thought they were somehow related to battery status. However, are recorded in the image. The nearest traffic lights are behind Moventas' factories in the pliable ...

The picture I took a year ago of the artificial light pillars created by the lights in the Moventas factory area in Rautpohja, Jyväskylä. This is a support image for the artificial light pillars I saw today, January 24, 2017, which I have declared as my own. Picture taken with a mobile phone, colors adjusted with Gimp.

The lights of Jyväskylä's Rautpohja Moventas factory seem to have formed the traditional artificial light pillar observation on my business trip this January. Unfortunately, again only cell phone pictures. The air was full of tiny ice char and already on the corner of the university’s main building I noticed a pillar that seemed to spread fan-like from its top. At the malls, I got the first slightly better pictures. When the pillars turned to Hippos, Moventas showed several colors in addition to the strongest pair of light. Weak pillars can also be seen above Hippos lamps. The clouds and i...

Leaving the workplace in the chilly frosty weather, the previous night's blood spruce (or whatever lie) was found on the horizon behind the town hall, surrounded by a strangely elongated gauze. The pillars were visible up to the naked eye and also to the sides. The picture on the mobile phone mainly shows a sharp-edged egg. I’m not sure if there are even such halos. Personally, I haven't seen anything like it before. Too bad there was no better camera involved at work.

A wonderful end to a late sauna trip in Lake Tuusulanjärvi. From swimming on the bridge of the setting sun to bathing in the reflection of the sun pillar after sunset.

On the day of work, walking from one office to another and the sun shining from behind, I first noticed a piece of horizon ring in the dim cloud. Turning towards the sun, a partial 22-degree ring and side suns were visible. Luckily there was no rushing, and I was able to stop taking pictures of what I now got on my cell phone. I also took a clip of the video following the horizon map, but the file is too big. Later, a piece of the lower edge of the 22-degree ring was still visible. The pictures may show more, or just tense cloud shapes. I leave the interpretation to those who know it.

By bus from Lappeenranta to Jyväskylä, turning around Lievestuore from the road coming from Kangasniemi to the west towards Jväskylä in such quick glances in the openings of the forest several times. Finally, on the isthmus crossing Leppävesi, the landscape opened in just the right direction and the subtle sun pillar and side suns of the setting sun were beautifully reflected from the surface of Pacific Lake. Even the window reflections and haze didn’t bother me any worse and I got the event described on my cell phone. Arriving in Jyväskylä, the pillar could still be seen in the middle of the ...

While exploring the landscapes of Luiro at the Seitinoja boat landing, I noticed a 22-degree ring in the sky from the top of the cloud. It was still noticeable at 16.11 Ponkunsuvann.

A walk from Hippos to the center a little before noon showed a clear backdrop, the top and bottom colored, no side suns. The bottom edge did seem to reflect orange in the clouds below it. The last observation is after 1 p.m. 13.30 no longer visible. I tried to adjust the colors of the home with curves and darkening the dark head, the colors of the lower part were emphasized and a colored circle can be seen right around the sun.

As I walked to work in the crisp frosty morning, I admired the light created by the newly risen sun in the hang, the fence of the football field, and the trees in the background. I stopped to take a quick picture. Only today did I notice that I had captured the image of the sun pillar and the side sun pillar on its right side. Even on the left, another side sun pillar may be hidden among Aalto Alvar's vapors.

A day of imaginative pillars. In the morning, as the sun rose, a delicate pillar was visible. In the early evening, again, the lights of the factory and the sports field gave birth to subtle artificial light pillars. The air was kind of frosty, in the evening there was a slight light frosty snow. I put the sun pillar as the main observation, but also pictures of the artificial light pillars at 17.40 in the countries.

Spotted on a business trip. Thicker clouds soon covered the sky. The halo may have been brighter behind my back by the time of the trade.

From the window of the bus I noticed a pillar of the rising sun and a strong side sun on the right, which also rose to a pillar-like color in the rainbow. Luckily the home stop was nearby and I walked to the open. The sun pillar had dissolved into the clouds but the side sun with its pillars was still well visible. Unfortunately, I didn't get much of what I saw on my cell phone, but it's still a hint.

I watched the eclipse as the day blurred just from home without any special equipment. I photographed what light looks like during an eclipse. However, with my cell phone camera in my hand, I reached for a few pictures straight from the sun. As I moved the images, I noticed a strange sickle-like reflection from the darkened sun. Apparently either caused by double glazing or camera lens reflection, as my son guessed. Attached are pictures of state space 12:17 and 12:35 and reflections cropped. The pictures themselves are by no means wonderful, but that eclipse was documented by chance :)

After sunset, about 3:45 p.m., above the rooftops of downtown, there was an incredibly bright and colorful queue of cloud formations in the western sky. Images are unprocessed. Normally, the punch burned and with zoom, the backgrounds darkened wildly. However, get some idea of the phenomenon.

At last I saw with certainty the night clouds. What a tremendous time! From the balcony of the house photographed in the direction of the sunrise and the last from the courtyard, also to the south with the moon.

On the bus, returning from work in about 18.55 countries, my eyes were struck by a bunch of colors around the sun. Cloud life was tremendously diverse and fast-paced, and when I got home at 7.15pm and with a better camera, I found little to nothing. I watched the wild movement of the clouds for a while and was already heading inside when I noticed the hooks in the lineup rising from behind the other clouds and starting to collapse in less than a minute. Are Kelvin-Helmholtzeja?

While cycling from work to the back sun, I noticed colored cloud edges with sunglasses. I first photographed a rainbow-covered visible covered with a gauze cloud, and then, with a second stop, about 10 minutes later, visible between the thicker clouds, which was no longer an arc. Not in the exact opposite direction from the sun but still 90+ degrees, the horizontal clouds on the horizon were visibly pinker than the upper ones, but the light in the camera was disturbing. The backlight was so intense that it was only at home that I saw better. Are there clouds of color or part of the perimeter? ...
