Several halo forms

16.1.2022 at 00.08 - 00.40 - Rusko (II)
Lasse Nurminen

Along the late evening, the halo ring is separable, with images of the observation starting after midnight. The 22 ° ring stood out visually, then reading also the indications of the by-product. The canopy of the moon made a thicker shore of the bypass type visible both above and below the moon (Figures 3 and 4). In addition, six fish fisheye images stacked on average with Halostack would appear to have a 46 ° pool side view. Something ghost also in the 46 sector, but not convincing (Figure 5.).

Active aurora band

15.1.2022 at 23.10 - 00.20 - Rusko (III)
Lasse Nurminen

It was a long break from repos, so it was nice to see these again. A couple of nice active pulses, the first one of which was clearly brighter was used to describe the youth involved, and here are the remnants of Dad: D

Several halo forms

10.1.2022 at 20.20 - 21.05 - Raisio (II)
Lasse Nurminen

There was an ice mist in the program like Riikonen. After all, this only meant that the shirt, when wet, could blow snow in the air to create icing cores and thus ice mist. As an aid to Fiskars' snow throwing, in Riga, in ancient times, at least in another observation, I guess I had a dog-like stuffed stuff. Well, I really didn’t have to freeze during that time even though there was frost on the 15-degree surface. The adjustments were a bit short, the battery of the lamp ran out of power, the man might still have had enough power for a while. The lamp is such an additional 50 W car LED lig...

Pintahalo

10.1.2022 at 19.55 - 20.15 - Raisio (II)
Lasse Nurminen

A clear surface halo stood out in the beam of additional light from the car on top of the little hump. I haven't hit such a hard case with artificial light before, so I had to wonder a little bit here and there. Image pairs at slightly different distances and also in color channel processing. In the video clips, as the light source approached, the ring closed (behind the info button, a good Model Image), in the latter I walked sideways away from the bright beam of the lamp, but that ring still stood out even in diffused light.

Rare halos

22.12.2021 at 18.20 - 19.15 - Turku (IV)
Lasse Nurminen

In the evening in Turku, there is quite a lot of ice. None of the best pillar material, although at times a few pretty pretty poles were visible. In addition to the forms of the season, there is a side sun, a side-by-side and Moila candidate for interpretation by the jury (starting from Figure 4). There used to be a stronger pillar, but I drove past. Figures 4.-7. image pairs, the latter being USM-processed. The last video is a series of five images rotated a few times in a row (recorded directly from the screen when the quality of the gif went really poor). I didn’t knock a bigger set at that...

Light pillars

22.12.2021 at 07.10 - 08.10 - Raisio (II)
Lasse Nurminen

It is starting to become a bad habit of these awakenings during the tense frosts: D Well, this time too, it was worth it, because there were nice ice trucks moving in Raisio's direction. This time the main observation from the marina side and in addition a few transitions. Now, maybe you can't praise the small pillar concentration in the main picture as a map halo, but let's go to one of the flagpole hall categories. As the morning progressed, I drew attention to the cluster of three pillars that had almost separated from the zenith. Strange in those was the variation in the bright...

Pearl clouds

17.12.2021 at 08.55 - 09.15 - Raisio (II)
Lasse Nurminen

In the morning, in the direction of sunrise, the pearl fiber, which is dimly visible to the eye in a moderately wide area, treated with USM, then came off more clearly. In the morning there was also a gentle rush, more spectacular than the afternoon, but I didn't have time to shoot.

Light pillars

8.12.2021 at 07.25 - 08.20 - Turku (II)
Lasse Nurminen

Early in the morning, driven by the hopes of yesterday's single pillar. Yesterday’s visual booth took place after about half past nine at dawn, so now the idea was to take advantage of an even darker morning. And after all, there was still ice fog even today, and with it the pillars to be photographed again. The best pillar workshops were found in the yard's "backyard", on the actual façade side of Raisio's marina there was nothing more to see on the yard. I think the crystal cloud can move away from the top of the yard when I change sides. The crystal cloud still extended to some ...

Landscape image of a planet

7.12.2021 at 17.30 - 17.35 - Naantali (III)
Lasse Nurminen

As the evening began to dim, Venus and Jupiter shone beautifully along with the Moon, Saturn was a little behind in glory. Unfortunately, my own opportunity to shoot only hit the already quite darkened sky, but I still had a pinch of time before Venus sank. In the larger image, the entire planetary statue with the moon (Jupiter in the upper left, Saturn in the middle, and Venus in the lower right), and in another image, Venus and the Moon a little closer.

Mirage

6.12.2021 at 12.20 - 12.45 - Naantali (III)
Lasse Nurminen

A few years wandered in between, but again this year, the fabric of Independence Day was wounded. There was no better search for it now, but the halo loop had suitable endings, so it had to continue the tradition. A distance of two kilometers to that promontory of the first picture and a little over seven to the most remote islands. The nearest beach in the triangle is about 2.5 km away and the rear section is just under five. While recording the fabrics, I also paid attention to the stunning "roses" on the surface of the ice. There were witches almost everywhere, with densities varying from r...

Other special clouds

6.12.2021 at 10.43 - 10.50 - Naantali (III)
Lasse Nurminen

The emissions from the Naantali power plant generated quite a lot of horseshoe swirls, even several at a time. So it was possible to see from the pictures afterwards that in the situation itself that has passed handsomely when recording the halos.

Rare halos

6.12.2021 at 10.10 - 11.05 - Naantali (IV)
Lasse Nurminen

In the wake of the Peussa night patrol, it was easy to choose Naantali as the direction of the morning trip. When crossing the Ukko-Pekka bridge, a thinner ice crystal cloud then stood out in the direction of Naantali. Turning the beak of the car in the first possible place and towards the corners of the old town. At that very low level, that sparse crystal cloud moved, so the shapes did not accumulate completely. However, it was nice to watch that ice mist from the pier of the guest marina in about daylight. However, I didn’t build the stacks, so let that stay to its own value. A little highe...

Several halo forms

2.12.2021 at 10.35 - 13.30 - Raisio (II)
Lasse Nurminen

The first day of the week, when the camera stayed home and of course just a moderately epic side sun. One should not rely too much on weather information to tell. From the morning a faint sighing and vague fog until then after half past twelve the jaws were falling (lower jaw now at least). The brightness of the right side sun was for a long time such that it was already bad to look with the naked eye. Behind the sunglasses, it was more comfortable to see the colors. To top it all off, the sea eagle at one point flew straight from the distance and across the side sun. I could have even offered...

Light pillars

30.11.2021 at 17.15 - 19.15 - Turku (II)
Lasse Nurminen

The ice age once got a nice early start to these corners. Along the way home, I saw a faint pole on Raisio's side and then had to throw some kind of loop for interest. It looked very faint until, from the west, as the hustle and bustle of the harbor, he picked up light patches in the sky. By the way, it is very challenging to bonga like that in a city with plenty of lighting. Slight shift to the side and momentary follow-up in cool, windy weather. Mostly very diffuse pillars, though farther away seemed a little sharper. I went to the side of Ruissalo, where the most spectacular poles were....

Airglow clearly visible

8.11.2021 at 19.50 - 21.55 - Mynämäki
Lasse Nurminen

I even had time to look away from the previous sight of a decent starry sky. The predictions, however, kept their itching and I was able to freeze under a clear sky on a frosty evening. The company was e.g. a group of singing swans that dominated the world of sound, and the story seemed enough for almost all of their observations. The camera then disagreed slightly about the apparent clarity of the sky. The southern and western horizons were largely covered by air glow waves. Then witch the volumes at slightly different focal lengths. At 50 milligrams in one step, within 12 minutes, I snapped ...

Primary rainbow

18.10.2021 at 10.47 - 14.00 - Raisio (III)
Lasse Nurminen

Today, a rainbow was available three times within the reported observation period. In the morning, the clearest full arc, otherwise more stumps. Admittedly, those shorter versions were then more colorful. One in the morning, second and three a little after one as gifts of a heavier deaf cloud like that, and then another arc of four pictures at two.

Other storm phenomenon

17.10.2021 at 21.09 - 21.24 - Rusko (III)
Lasse Nurminen

Actually, mainly in the hope of repos, a little evening trip, but for those with very meager results. There was enough cloud cover that the northern horizon was covered. It rained occasionally and the rainbow of the moon went in hopes, but did not naze. The best thing of the evening was to follow the development of the deaf cloud of observation. The shape of the anvil was hard to strive for as he grew and dragged a rain wall in his hems, so at least one cross of this was achieved. On the way home, I still hit a brisk hailstorm. The ground was, if not now white, then at least pale and the speed...

Anticrepuscular rays

27.9.2021 at 19.20 - 19.35 - Raisio (III)
Lasse Nurminen

The nice start of the fan stood out from the sky as it rumbled home. It then had to be taken to a suitable place aside in order to be saved as it healed. At this point, the twilight ray was very weakly distinguished (mainly by processing only from the images), so let this now remain a mere observation of the opposite side.

Pintahalo

21.9.2021 at 08.10 - Naantali (II)
Lasse Nurminen

A slightly more abstract view of the surface halo of a frosty morning. The distinctiveness of the halo at the observation site was poor in the individual squares, and so lazy that it was left unstacked. Fortunately, screwing the tele focus into the "forest" made the halo patterns outside the focus area stand out more comfortably. In the triple image, the focus is more on the subject itself. Behind the wheel of the car, there were even better tire views from the shorter-card meadows. Recording them, though, would have required a dumbbell to change video at highway speeds.

Other special clouds

20.9.2021 at 14.39 - 14.40 - Raisio (III)
Lasse Nurminen

A pretty "banana" swirled on a windy afternoon at the front edge of a cloudberry. It was in the order of more than a minute from the moment of detection, so I only recovered the handset images. It looked very turbulent at the height of the clouds, lifted several flags of some kind to the front edge, but I no longer saw any similar structure.
