Rare halos

2.9.2017 at 10.25 - Ylöjärvi, Viljakkala, Inkula (IV)
Heidi Rikala, Ursa (Helsinki)

I drove to Viljakkala to Inkulansilla to photograph a handsome halo right in the lake landscape. Actually, the idea was to get a halo reflection on the water when you were quite calm. Not much was reflected in it, well Parry was nicely reflected.

Hämäränsäteet

5.10.2015 at 19.25 - Ylöjärvi, Viljakkala, Inkula (II)
Heidi Rikala, Ursa (Helsinki)

A new phenomenon in its own right. Would these be twilight rays? When I photographed, I didn’t notice them, I couldn’t even look. This was the so-called a comforting picture when I was late filming the parachute. Yes, I photographed on the other side of this bridge, but I don’t notice in the pictures if there would be rays of twilight there. (image not included here). I only noticed the rays on the camera screen at home, and I started to think about what they might be. Only the images have been sharpened.

Earth's shadow

18.10.2015 at 18.12 - Ylöjärvi, Viljakkala, Inkula (IV)
Heidi Rikala, Ursa (Helsinki)

A handsome shadow of the Earth photographed from the Inkula bridge in Viljakkala. I wondered if rays of twilight were visible, but did not hit the eye. The bird and the boat hit.

Ruskosäteet

29.7.2017 at 22.07 - Ylöjärvi, Viljakkala, Inkula (III)
Heidi Rikala, Ursa (Helsinki)

There were wide but short rays of brown in Viljakkala, I tried to get to the Inkula bridge to photograph them, and I did, but the rays were too far to the right. Then I didn’t get quite that kind of picture when I thought.

Maan varjo

29.7.2017 at 22.25 - Ylöjärvi, Viljakkala, Inkula (IV)
Heidi Rikala, Ursa (Helsinki)

A handsome shadow of the Earth as seen from the Inkula bridge. There were three objects of observation on the bridge at the same time: brown rays, the shadow of the earth, and the Moon. I saw the boat coming farther towards the bridge, but it flew so slowly that I couldn’t wait to run below the old vaulted bridge.

Moon

3.8.2017 at 22.16 - Ylöjärvi, Viljakkala, Inkula (IV)
Heidi Rikala, Ursa (Helsinki)

A 10-day-old moon in a delicate colored sky. Unfortunately, it was behind the trees, so I didn’t get it in the same picture as the shadow of the Earth. The moon is behind a thin cloud curtain, so it didn’t become very sharp images. It has a slight light circle around the Moon.

Rare halos

9.1.2016 at 12.37 - Ylöjärvi, Viljakkala, Haveri (IV)
Heidi Rikala, Ursa (Helsinki)

At the former gold mine of Viljakkala Haveri, there was ice mist in the air, which formed a halo phenomenon. There seems to be nothing special about this, but finally there was even some degree of halo in these corners. An area formed of ice crystals was also visible below the left side sun. I didn't seem to see it very well in the picture. It's in that second picture.

One halo form

18.5.2016 at 06.21 - Ylöjärvi, Viljakkala (I)
Heidi Rikala, Ursa (Helsinki)

On the morning commute in Viljakkala, the real side sun was visible. During the day, I didn’t have time to see if there would have been more halo shapes.

One halo form

26.8.2016 at 09.55 - Ylöjärvi, Viljakkala (I)
Heidi Rikala, Ursa (Helsinki)

The sky looked just like there could be halos, so as I walked through it I then looked at the sky for a closer look - and there were 22 rings there. Appropriately low enough to fit a bit of the landscape into the pocket picture. The ring was clear, but then I wasn't enthusiastic about it.

Several halo forms

30.3.2017 at 18.22 - Ylöjärvi, Viljakkala (II)
Heidi Rikala, Ursa (Helsinki)

The first halos of the spring appeared in Viljakkala. The camera lens becomes a strange reflection that is not a halo, appearing as such a dot in the images. It seems to me that there would be a bit of overhead brightness on the 22 rings. (no lens reflection)

Several halo forms

3.5.2021 at 10.20 - Ylöjärvi, Viljakkala (II)
Heidi Rikala, Ursa (Helsinki)

In Viljakkala, more halos began to appear, including the pool side of 22 rings, which was bright and handsome, like a stand for the whole halo effect. I tried to shoot the reps spot on the swing, but the picture area of the pocket was too small. The clock throws in an hour because it was winter time. #bongaa100

In Viljakkala, the situation was the same - 22 tires. #bongaa100

Hail in the summer season

25.4.2017 at 15.00 - Ylöjärvi, Viljakkala (IV)
Heidi Rikala, Ursa (Helsinki)

In Viljakkala, it rained by pouring small granules that would crumble on the windshield as if sand had been thrown. The ground was covered with a pretty strong layer of hail and visibility was poor. Shortly after taking the pictures, the flash flashed.

Hail in the summer season

9.5.2017 at 16.23 - Ylöjärvi, Viljakkala (IV)
Heidi Rikala, Ursa (Helsinki)

A handsome hail came down on the way home in Viljakkala. Farther away, I first took pictures of the deaf flowing down. I drove forward and a good hailstorm started at Inkulansilla. I drove to the parking lot and shot rain from the bridge. With strong force, the granules hit the face. Yes, they went from the collar of the jacket and the cuffs cooled down comfortably. These granules are at least partially conical.

Other storm phenomenon

21.6.2017 at 15.27 - Ylöjärvi, Viljakkala (III)
Heidi Rikala, Ursa (Helsinki)

Such lumpy clouds were visible in Viljakkala in the afternoon. Whether it's mammoths or just ordinary storm-related clouds. Ylöjärvi had a strong afternoon wind and it rained with such strong force that it felt like it was coming through the windshield. There were small hailstorms associated with the rain. One flash appeared in the same context. The convex clouds are described in 15.27.

Arcus cloud

15.9.2018 at 11.43 - Ylöjärvi, Viljakkala (III)
Heidi Rikala, Ursa (Helsinki)

A avalanche cloud came to Viljakkala over Lake Kyrösjärvi. We took the roar to Kyröskoski's Tippavaara waste station and at that point it arrived in Kyröskoski. Water rained by pouring and then wetting.
