Harvinaisia halomuotoja

9.7.2021 at 20.50 - 22.10 - Joensuu (IV)
Reima Eresmaa, Ursa (Etelä-Suomi)

In the morning at. 5.57 before work I saw a great light phenomenon from Hermanninmäki, looking out to sea. Reportedly reflecting the sun and some rays.

I spotted those halos tonight in the car and at first thought they were reflections in the glass. I stopped to check the matter and found out that these were in the sky directly above the sun. There was only a cell phone involved, so the quality of the pictures is what it is, but it makes it so clear from them that what has been shown there. I can't say the real name for this phenomenon.

I got a tip from Northern Lightsmen to put this here. The suspicion was the lower sun. The sun was behind the cloud, a small strip of bright on the horizon. The phenomenon disappeared as the sun shone from the strip before sinking to the ground. When the phenomenon was chosen, the sun was behind the clouds.

What might be this halo phenomenon? Seems like a sun pillar but below two adjacent and repeats as a single upper.

Coming from the evening walk, I noticed a small piece of sun pillar, looked like several small pillars, but the cell phone picture doesn’t give justice.

What is the question here? In the evening walk we saw strange vertical pillars, the rays would be thought to be in different directions. Is it just a sun pillar, or something else. This observation of the reflection sub-sun also seems to be relatively the same. https://www.taivaanvahti.fi/observations/show/54900 The camera was not included, but I also got something on the phone ... As long as you get home, you have to try to get something out of it better.

In the direction of the sunset, several bright reflections were visible a few minutes above the sun, the source of which remained a mystery. Partially separable vertical rays. There are no seas or lakes in that direction, so apparently the reflection arose from some other bright surface.
