The alarm clock rings at 4.50, the sky completely in the cloud. I decided to take a nap and check back later. Unfortunately, the course of time in the dream world is very different from awake. I woke up and a peek out the window proved my fear: the eastern sky was clear! Quick dress and cycling hanging around the 600mm neck, heavy stand in one hand ... When I got to the observation site, I got a refreshing and cool downpour to awaken my return to reality. Twice, I already had time to pack my belongings and decide to return home until a marvelous 15-second "observation window" tore at just the ...

I tried observation at Kevola Observatory at first, but since the sky was almost completely covered in clouds, I set out to look for a bigger opening in the west. Two other observers stayed at the observatory to try their luck - even a small opening would have guaranteed success. However, it seeped in Turku, so I had to continue to Raisio and beyond. At Laitila, there was an opening in the sky for about 10 minutes. I got a few pictures on the 300mm telescope (around 6.06am) and then tried to get a better picture with the 80x600mm telescope. I didn’t have a stand with a suitable telescope with ...

Mauri Hyvönen, Kajaanin planeetta
I started an observation tour of Vuokatti from the top of the danger. There I noticed that there seems to be a cloud edge in the direction of Kajaani. Rigging in the car and bow towards Kajaani. In Kajaani I got the first picture taken in the pennant valley. The picture shows the extra brilliance of the street lights on both sides of the moon. Other pictures are from the top of Vimpelinvaara.

What would you write here when everyone already knows what the issue is :) There was a clear sky in Oulu, so the observation was easy.

Comedy! Too bad it only came with a 40mm fixed tube. Just before jumping on the bus, I started to grab a few pictures. The second picture is already from Tornio as the eclipse passes by.

The red moon in Rauma was beautifully visible just in the deepest phase of the eclipse. However, there was satisfaction with the iPhone camera.

With excitement, it was expected whether the clouds would appropriately give way to the moon for the best moment. A nice area by the river, where the trees would not be on the road, was chosen in advance as the observation site. Happiness was on the way, and the best moment of the eclipse could be followed from the almost clear sky. The camera had a 300mm tube that felt good, although the power in the body was pulled to the extreme.

A clear starry sky above, but a cloud in front of the moon. In between, it came out that he was able to grab some kind of description of the red moon. Even a little wood in front. The dates and time of the old camera are completely wrong, but the shooting time is something like 5.30.

After all, it had to ring at five o'clock to get the best pieces to watch. As such, funny again, when with the camera everything is much redder, maybe I was expecting too much. :) In Lightroom I dug up a few colors, although the last image is a direct RAW-JPEG conversion. Annoying when not found than that 200 pipe, yes this would have required something like 400, but let's go with these ..

I described the "Super" lunar eclipse in Valkeakoski under a very cloudy sky at times. Just when the eclipse was approaching its most perfect stage, the sky opened and the lunar eclipse was very nice :) Here is a picture of the perfect stage at 05:47 The eclipse was very spectacular looking and this time the color of the moon was very dark. Maybe on the Danjon scale, class 2 or even 1. EDIT: 29.09.2015 The image was translated to correspond to the visual view. EDIT 2: Time for full blackout and duration of blackout visibility added.

I woke up through the night to check on a cloudy situation that was at least depressing until dawn, but just before the phase of complete eclipse, the sky opened from around the moon for less than half an hour. Majestic sight! This way, it is easy to wise afterwards, that perhaps it would have been worthwhile to tune that tracking foot in good time, and not only in the morning in a dream-like hurry, then the quality of the picture could have been something else, but something now without monitoring. wise about the damage, the new company will definitely again in 2033 :)

Upstairs upstairs, in the cloud, except for one and a half minutes. The pair of pictures demo how much the darkening of the Moon affected the brightness of the landscape through the cloud cover.

n.5.10 I went out, when it was completely cloudy, and there was not a glimpse of the moon. It was similar until six, sometimes a little rainy, but a 6.04 thick cloud hit the moon a little less often and the darkened moon split from behind the curtain. At that time, the left edge appeared brighter, even though the perfect phase was still in eclipse. The cloud soon covered the moon again, starting to split again only at about 6.30. I took pictures between 6.35-7.10, but the perfect stage was already over at that time.

The lunar eclipse was partly visible in Sahalahti. At 03 the sky was in a cloud, but at 05 it suddenly became clear, although the cloud ferries moved in the direction of the darkened Moon in the western sky. From time to time, good images were obtained of the cracks in the clouds. The final stages of the eclipse were left behind by increased cloud cover, The stars covered by a full moon came out handsomely during the perfect phase.

A little longer than 200mm got to be 100mm as a guy, but these had to cope. It was not possible to get a very accurate moon in the pictures, but it was time for the harbor breakwater to wake up :)

I only came out at five and just at the beginning of the full stage went into a cloudy cloud and even rained in between. Waiting for clarification ... It didn’t clear in time then, but when I was already carrying the tube back in, it was as if mockingly visible another minute after the end of the full phase. Now you could really bother a little. I really didn't have time to rub the details in either picture ... Edit. I added another picture I took with the 250mm lens at the same time, slightly cropped.

Out of five. The moon was already almost completely in the shade and was well visible near the edge of the cloud. The moon appeared for ten minutes until it disappeared behind the clouds. I quickly took a picture of the hand so not quite accurate. I followed the situation for half an hour but the moon remained in the cloud. This is the hobby of this autumn in Finland

Completely cloudless starry sky at the time of shooting. For half an hour I had time to photograph the lunar eclipse until the clouds covered the moon.
