Primary rainbow

28.5.2022 at 20.10 - 20.25 - Aura (III)
Mikko Peussa, Ursa (Länsi-Suomi)

I followed the handsome dark cloud front as it arrived. When the first raindrops came from the sky, a rainbow also began to stand out. As a bonus picture (for a long time) a very small, still shaky white-tailed deer hammer that I came across by accident in Mynämäki. The nursing mother immediately escaped and the vasa sank low to the ground. I waited a moment for it to get up swaying and took a few pictures out of the car window and left right away. The experience was so nice that I couldn’t bear not to tell. I don't think an animal can be much sweeter?

Several halo forms

25.5.2022 at 08.30 - 09.00 - Lieksa (II)
Petri Martikainen, Ursa (Itä-Suomi)

Haloja recorded from the scenery of Patvinsuo. The stacks would seem to have Parry in addition to the usual shapes, but on the other hand there are also confusing cloud threads at them, so I’ll leave Parry unmarked for safety. The base was then visible in the sky for several hours. Figure 1. Unprocessed still image at 8:46. Figure 2. Stack of 13 images from 8:46 to 8:47 (3xusm). Figure 3. The previous br version. Figure 4. Stack of 29 images from 8:46 to 8:48 (2xusm). Figure 5. The previous bg version.

The triple rainbow? Or is there some kind of halo phenomenon? I've never seen it before.

One halo form

27.5.2022 at 14.50 - 15.40 - Laukaa (I)
Tero Sipinen, Ursa (Etelä-Suomi)

As I refueled, I grabbed a picture of a moderately detached ring (Fig. 1), and about an hour later I even took a picture with sage that there were no other forms to squeeze (Fig. 2).

Ground level vortex

25.5.2022 at 15.00 - Kokkola (IV)
Tony Furubacka

An unusually handsome whirlwind of dust. Duration about a minute.

Several halo forms

20.5.2022 at 11.00 - 15.55 - Kouvola (II)
Tero Sipinen, Ursa (Etelä-Suomi)

Only 22r was visually visible (Figure 1). I grabbed a small stack of it, which came off by pinching 22ys (Figure 2). After the stack, I left the camera to shoot at 8 sec intervals. The battery lasted for 2157 pictures - pretty good when the halo ring was just disappearing behind the birch. Images of timelapse from 11.07-15.54 in Figure 3. Timelapse of 10 image stacks, with USM and BR treatments in Figure 4.

Several halo forms

28.5.2022 at 10.21 - Joensuu (II)

Promising looking 22 above the sky, but I didn’t have time to stack. It started to fade, too. 28.5. is the only day in May for the period beginning with the Sky Guard, in which no halo observation has been made in the rari in any year.

One halo form

28.5.2022 at 18.59 - Kangasala (I)
Jukka Oravasaari

When the rain stopped, the sun and a 22 ° ring appeared.

One halo form

20.5.2022 at 22.28 - Joensuu (I)
Marko Riikonen

The pillar appeared in the upper cloud fiber after sunset. I shot lazily on my cell phone at first, but it saturates the snippet and when I moved on to the stage, the best glory was already over in this 2228 picture.

Starscape image

25.4.2022 at 02.02 - Parainen (III)
Mikko Ankelo, Ursa (Länsi-Suomi)

From the spring starry sky in the Parainen archipelago. The constellation of Scorpio is sinking above the horizon in the morning. The red color of the Antares star is spectacularly reflected on the surface of the water. The lower parts of the Milky Way are also clearly visible.
